Documentary Shows Meaningful Connection Between A Veteran And Animals Fun Love
Vietnam veteran Bob Miner found a way to rebuild his spirits by taking in abused and abandoned animals since he “couldn’t stand people.” Watch the exclusive trailer for the new documentary, ” Wild Home ,” here.
DEW Animal Kingdom was created in 1980 by Bob Miner; it eventually grew from farm animals to some more exotic critters.
Miner builds the facilities himself, and with the help of his wife, Julie. They met in 1994 when Julie became a volunteer at DEW.
"He found that he could communicate with people through the animals..."
"...It was a great connection for him back to people," Julie said.
