Artist Stella Maria Baer (see her website here) lives in New Haven, Connecticut with a pet hedgehog. The Baer family always kept animals while Stella was growing up. She, her parents, and her brother all have "animal nicknames," she says, like spirit animals.

When this cat wandered near the edge of a zoo's crocodile pond in Jaipur, India, onlookers tried to scare it out of the enclosure, but this cat had little interest in leaving. Rude guest, that cat.

The PAWSCARS. It's put on by the American Humane Association and is exactly what it sounds like.
The video is meant to promote the AHA's "No Animals Were Harmed" certification, which "protects the safety and welfare of more than 100,000 animals on more than 2,000 productions each year with a 99.98% safety rate." More importantly, it's an efficient way to watch the only parts of any movies you needed to see this year: the parts featuring dogs and tigers.

Despite the "stupid" rumors, chickens are pretty smart, are able to play games, and form companionships with people. Along with that, some of them are pretty damn gorgeous.
Some of them are a lot faster than you think. Plus, they'll make faces at you for no reason.
No, I'm not talking about the typical orange goldfish that has no motivation in life. I'm talking about the badass ones with badass colors that will impress your friends and smile at you when you come home.
